He who contemplates the depths of Paris is seized with vertigo. Nothing is more fantastic. Nothing is more tragic. Nothing is more sublime.

Victor Hugo

Paris is practically synonymous with Europe. In my second rendezvous, I gained some inspiration as a writer when I stood in front of the Notre Dame, walked across the Luxembourg Gardens, and sat along the Seine River. Why? Paris gives any artist inspiration. Whenever I visit, I am alive with my words, thoughts, ideas, and plans. Hence, I will always visit Paris whenever I’m in Europe.

I typically stay three full days in Paris because one of those days is exclusively reserved for visiting the Louvre. It never gets old seeing some of the worlds most impressive art collections. Even waking up at the crack of dawn does not guarantee you a perfect glimpse of the Mona Lisa. The hordes of people competing to take the perfect shot of her in my opinion is picture perfect.

There are three essential things you must do in Paris.

  1. Visit the Eiffel Tower at night

  2. Visit the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris

  3. Eat a Crêpe.
