Tourists think Amsterdam is a city of sin, but in truth it is a city of freedom. And in freedom, most people find sin.

Amsterdam is the Northern Venice where canals, bikes, cheese, and art surround your line of sight. Although Amsterdam has a notorious reputation for sins and vices, it’s a city that tolerates and handles them unlike no other. That is why Amsterdam is culturally so unique and different from the rest of the world. Its demeanor towards taboo is as infectious as its environment.

Bike or boat, Amsterdammers commute in a relaxed style. Their path from point A to B is never a burden. Unlike America, Amsterdam residents are not overwhelmed by traffic, road rage drivers, or slow public transportation. The only thing that bothers Amsterdammers is seeing tourists fail at biking. Trust me, I know.

Out of the hundreds of trends I would have pictured to be popular in Amsterdam, I never expected vintage clothing to be one of them. In Amsterdam, you will see vintage in nearly every store you enter. Whether it’s at a boutique or a big brand store, Amsterdam has certainly got a hip fashion style. Be sure to add something to your wardrobe.
