The Finale of My Un-Popular Acne Home Remedy List

As promised I am bringing you my top 2 most un-popular acne home remedies that most people would shy away from but first I want to recap the first 3 remedies just in case you missed them. Number 5 was Drinking at least 6 glasses of water, number 4  was avoiding milk, and number 3 applying a messy oatmeal mask. Here is a link to the previous acne home remedies post if you want to know what alternatives there are for these. Now that you are up to speed, we are ready to continue with the finale.

#2: Fasting

This is one of my least favorite remedies and that is fasting on a juice diet or “apple” diet for 3 days. I understand that changing my eating habits is a great way to fend off breakouts but the initial push works best when I fast first. In the 3 days or so you can have protein shakes, green tea, and one plan has you eating nothing but apples for that time period.

The reasoning behind this is that it helps to flush out our digestive system and rid our bodies of excess toxins and bacteria that can cause acne. An alternative to starving ourselves for 3 days would be to learn to eat properly on a daily basis. Foods high in fiber, drinking plenty of water, and getting loads of fresh fruits and veggies can flush the system out too. This method may take longer than 3 days but in the long run it can be healthier on your body.

Acne Home Remedy

We all want clearer skin

#1: Enema

This acne home remedy sounds so gross I hate to even talk about it, but it can help to rid our bodies of toxins and bacteria that have been building up in our colons for years. The less toxins in our system the less breakouts those of us that are prone to acne will get.

The alternative to having a tube put IN places that should only be reserved for things coming OUT is to take a colon cleansing treatment. You can buy these pills or a drink mix that you take at night before bed so that when you wake up nature is calling. This is a less invasive way of getting the job done.

These are some acne treatments that I would like to avoid and from what I am seeing on the message boards I am not alone. Like I stated in part one, these may help reduce the frequency of acne and they will definitely lead me into the right direction to live a healthier life but at what cost? Some of these treatments sound too humiliating to even try but I guess if nothing else has worked then we will stop at nothing to get rid of pimples.
