Pimple Free Products

Everyday Americans use a variety of products on their skin and hair for either beauty or health reasons. Some of the products that are being used, even those for health reasons, can irritate the skin and lead to pimple breakouts.

How do we know if our facial cleanser or body soap is not contributing to the acne even though it should be helping to prevent it? There is a simple way to know if a product you use on your skin and hair actually helps prevent breakouts, look at the package.

Look for one of these three words on the package: “oil free,” “nonacnegenic,” or “noncomedogenic.” Products that have these labels don’t clog pores, don’t contain oils (that leads to clogged pores) and don’t cause acne. If one of these words is on the package then you have nothing to worry about, but if they are not anywhere to be found then that product may be contributing to your breakouts.
