How to Get Rid of Pimples with a Healthy Lifestyle

There are countless products at the store that help to get rid of pimples and acne. There is a scrub for this type of acne and a lotion for that type. These products and acne home remedies are meant to be consumables, meaning that you keep coming back to buy more when you run out. They don’t offer permanent relief from acne but they can help while you are using them. I want to talk about some ways that can treat the root of the problem rather than putting out the proverbial fires of breakouts.

A pimple is formed because of excessive bacteria in our bodies and skin. I hate to say it but we as a society help to turn our bodies into an environment that this bacteria loves to live in. By tweaking our lifestyle we can slow the growth of these bacteria and thus reduce outbreaks. Over time pimples can be a thing of the past.

The biggest change is in our diet. This is also the hardest to change for most people including myself. When we eat unhealthy foods such as fast foods or processed foods we build up all kinds of junk in our system. Normally our system would just flush this junk out but at the rate we consume such unhealthy foods our system cannot do its job properly and efficiently. Eating more foods that are high in fiber, vegetables, and drinking plenty of water is a great way to help the body properly flush itself of all that excesses junk.

Another way to help fight pimples is with proper maintenance of our skin. Our skin is a great host for bacteria with all the little pores for it to incubate in. Keeping our pores clear of debris such as dead skin cells and oil can help to ensure that it isn’t the perfect home for bacteria. Simple steps such as washing your face daily with a gentle soap and your hands and taking a shower after you workout or get real sweaty can also help to keep pores open. When pores get clogged that is when we get blackheads and eventually pimples.

How to get rid of pimples

The last health tip we will discuss is stress relief. If you are already prone to getting acne become stressed out does not help your situation. Stress increases the body’s oil production and this in turn clogs pores and before you know it you are battling another breakout. One way to relieve stress is to take a 20 minute walk outside. It has been proven that nature is calming and soothing even if you just sit on a bench. This also gives you time to get out of the office or the house and clear your mind and get composed.

These tips will not only help your skin look better but your entire being will be more focused and you will have more energy. This isn’t an easy “how to get rid of pimples” article but it can be a very healthy way to live that also helps your acne. The alternative is to battle breakouts for the rest of your life. The choice is yours.
