All Natural Shampoo to the Rescue

I bought a shampoo that my hairstylist had used on me; buy one get one free deal I couldn’t pass it up. When my wife started using it she complained that her head began to itch. She immediately stopped using the shampoo and went on to use another shampoo. In my research of organic shampoos I learned what may have had something to do with my wife’s itchy scalp.

In most synthetic shampoos there is an ingredient called Sodium Lauryl Sulphate(SLS). This ingredient is used to help remove oily stains or residues. It has been used in engine degreasers and car wash soaps. There is only a small amount in shampoos, but it has been known to cause irritation with people whom have sensitive skin.

One way to treat the itchy scalp is with an all natural shampoo that uses tea tree oils. These oils are anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory. They will help to soothe and treat the itchy scalp with repeated use. We know to stay away from shampoos that have SLS in them so she doesn’t have a relapse.
