Eating properly is one of the biggest ways to help reduce the occurrence of acid reflux and heartburn. I haven’t learned of a miracle acid reflux diet that can cure the disease all together but I do know what foods to avoid.
Spicy and hot foods such as hot wings, jalapenos and onions or any other type of pepper are good foods to avoid. Acidic foods and juices such as tomatoes, oranges and even orange juice can be eliminated to help avoid having acid reflux.
Other less known food items are foods that have caffeine in them such as chocolate and sodas have been known to spur on acid reflux. Avoiding these foods all together would be perfect but if you can’t just make sure you keep them to a minimum.
